Barnbougle Castle is a majestic wedding and event venue in Edinburgh. The 13th Century Castle has been fully restored with modern facilities and is set within acres of rolling private parkland. The Castle, once the domain of Victorian Prime Minister, the 5th Earl of Rosebery, is now ready to host unique and special events, meetings, and weddings. It offers two large event spaces within the Castle, catering for 140 seated guests and 200 for a reception, with the option of accommodating larger groups in the adjacent Castle park. The Castle does not provide accommodation but can assist with local and Edinburgh-based accommodation providers. Catering is provided by exclusive partners known for their high level of expertise and individuality, with a focus on seasonality and provenance. The Castle is wheelchair accessible and provides wheelchair accessible WC facilities on the ground floor. It also offers parking for coaches and vehicles related to booked events. Guests can access the Castle via the Chapel Gate entrance of the private Dalmeny Estate, and car parking is available in the designated area. The venue is a fifteen-minute drive from Edinburgh International Airport and only seven miles from Edinburgh city centre.
