What is the pricing structure for business events and what's included in the package?

Business events are priced at £71.94 per person including VAT (£59.95 + VAT). This comprehensive package includes exclusive venue use, in-house technical support, 500MB fiber Wi-Fi, registration area, staffed cloakroom, full AV and lighting systems, 10m x 5m cinema screen, projectors, purpose-built stage, data connection, microphones, three changing rooms with en-suites, and comprehensive catering services. A build day can be added for £1,800 including VAT if required.

What is the maximum capacity for business events and what seating arrangements are available?

The venue can accommodate up to 800 guests in cabaret style seating with tables of 8, or up to 1,400 guests for other configurations. The space includes breakout rooms that can hold 50-60 people each in either banquet or theatre style seating. The main auditorium features flexible seating with round tables available in black or white linen, plus Chiavari chairs.

What catering options are included and can we bring our own alcohol?

The package includes arrival refreshments (tea, coffee, orange juice, pastries, fresh fruit), mid-morning and afternoon breaks, and lunch service featuring a freshly prepared two-course hot fork or finger buffet with fruit juices and water. Three-course seated dinners are also available. There is no corkage charge on beers, wines, spirits, or soft drinks, and table service for bar drinks is provided.

What technical equipment and AV facilities are provided?

The venue includes a comprehensive technical package: in-house RCF sound system, full lighting system and rig, 10m x 5m cinema screen, three Christie laser projectors, two 120-inch retractable projector screens, purpose-built stage with star cloth backdrop, handheld microphones, two LED lecterns, data connection with live feed capabilities, and USB connection for slideshows. In-house technical support is provided throughout events.

Can we use our own AV suppliers and staging teams?

Yes, you can bring your own AV suppliers and staging teams to work alongside the venue's in-house technical facilities. The venue provides flexible access and de-rig times to accommodate external technical teams, while still offering their comprehensive in-house systems as backup or primary support.

What are the parking arrangements and transportation access?

The venue provides 100 complimentary car parking spaces with two stewards to assist guests. Located in Leicester's cultural quarter, the venue offers good access to major train stations and motorway connections, making it convenient for attendees traveling from across the UK.

What spaces are available for registration, exhibitions, and networking?

The main foyer serves as the registration area and can accommodate small exhibitions or 'show and tell' pop-ups in the same space used for catering. The venue includes multiple deco lounges, a balcony area, and flexible spaces that can be configured for networking receptions. Post-conference drinks receptions for up to 100 people can be accommodated in the foyer or back of the main auditorium.

What are the typical event timings and setup requirements?

Events typically run from 9:30am to 4:30pm for conferences, with networking receptions extending until 6:30-7:00pm. The venue offers flexible event timings and access hours. What changing and preparation facilities are available?

The venue provides three changing rooms, each equipped with en-suite toilet facilities. These spaces are suitable for speakers, performers, or VIP guests who need private preparation areas. The rooms can accommodate activities like cap and gown dressing for graduation ceremonies or costume changes for performances.

Does the venue provide accommodation and what other services are included?

Athena does not provide accommodation as it is not a hotel. However, the venue includes staffed cloakroom service, dedicated event managers to ensure smooth running of events, setup and cleaning services, and LED table centerpieces. The venue's central Leicester location provides access to nearby hotels for guests requiring overnight stays.
