The Dining Room at this newly refurbished thirteenth century townhouse is an elegant space, with all of its period-style decor preserved down to every detail, making the Coopers' Hall the perfect place for your gathering. In addition to the Dining Room, the hire includes the Court Room and the Museum, all for your exclusive use. The catering staff is ready to provide mouth-watering dishes to tempt your guests, and our efficient staff is always available to ensure that your dinner party, banquet, or reception runs smoothly and your guests have everything they need.



Frequently asked questions

Venue hire costs vary by event type and duration. For whole venue exclusive hire, pricing ranges from £600 plus VAT for a 6-hour afternoon slot (13:00-19:00) to £800 plus VAT for a 4-hour morning slot (08:00-12:00). Evening events show pricing at £1,535 plus VAT for a 5-hour slot (18:00-23:00). All prices are exclusive of VAT and may include additional charges for extended access times.

The maximum capacity for dinner events is 32 guests seated. For general events, the venue can accommodate up to 45 people maximum. The space works well for intimate dining experiences and smaller corporate gatherings within these capacity limits.

There is a mandatory minimum catering spend of £250 plus VAT when using the venue's catering services through Company of Cooks. All catering prices are exclusive of VAT and include staff, linen, cutlery, crockery and glassware. If you wish to use your own caterer, there is an additional charge of £1,500 plus VAT.

Catering options include Tea, Coffee and Biscuits at £4.95 plus VAT per person per session, Morning bakery selection at £8.50 plus VAT per person, Breakfast baps at £9.95 plus VAT per person, and Low Carbon Breakfast from £23.00 plus VAT per person. Day packages are available at £170.25 plus VAT per guest (minimum 8 guests) including exclusive hire and multiple meal services.

If catering is required, there is a staffing cost of £130 plus VAT. Earlier or later access beyond standard event times may incur additional room hire and staff charges. Door security is included in some evening event packages but specific security requirements may add extra costs.
