The Agas Harding Conference Room overlooks the rooftops of Clerkenwell and is the ideal space for your cocktail party, conference, meeting, team building away days, conferences or private dining. Located on the 4th floor of the Goldsmiths' Centre, it is a light and airy space with access to its private rooftop terrace and breathtaking views onto the dome of St Paul's Cathedral. What are the capacity limits and seating arrangements available in the Exhibition Room?
The Exhibition Room can accommodate up to 100 guests in theatre style, 60 guests in cabaret style, or 40 guests in boardroom style. It is the largest space available and is located on the ground floor with floor-to-ceiling windows.
What are the standard hire time slots and can I access the venue early for setup?
Standard time slots are: Full day (08:30-17:00), Half day (08:30-12:30 or 13:00-17:00), and Evening (18:00-22:45). Organizers can access the venue from 08:30 for setup, with attendees arriving from 09:30.
What AV equipment is included in the room hire and are there additional costs?
Full use of AV equipment is included in the room hire, including screen, projector, clicker, HDMI cable, flipchart, and strong Wi-Fi throughout the building. The Exhibition Room has a built-in PA system and state-of-the-art, user-friendly AV equipment.
Can I bring external catering or alcohol to the venue?
External catering is not permitted due to an exclusivity contract with the venue's caterers. Food and drinks cannot be brought in from outside. However, you can bring your own spirits and pay a corkage fee of £50 + VAT per bottle.
What catering options are available and how much do they cost?
Catering includes gourmet sandwich lunches, tea and coffee service (£4.80 per person), house brownies (£6 per person), and various add-ons like the Seasonal Future 50 Salad (£5 + VAT per person). Drinks packages include unlimited wine, beer, soft drinks and fizz on arrival at £26 per person for one hour.
What are the payment terms and when do I need to provide final event details?
Invoices are payable within 30 days, unless the event takes place within 30 days of the invoice date. A deposit invoice must be paid before your event takes place. Final event details including catering requirements and dietary needs must be confirmed by 4pm the day before your event.
Is there outdoor space available for guests during events?
The venue does not have any private outdoor space available for guests. All event activities must take place within the indoor spaces provided.
How does the booking process work and what documents do I need to sign?
The booking process involves completing a booking form, receiving a confirmation letter and Terms & Conditions to sign, followed by a deposit invoice. You'll need to provide a purchase order number and return signed documents to confirm your booking.
Can dietary requirements and special needs be accommodated?
The catering team can accommodate various dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, nut allergies, halal, pescatarian, lactose-free, and ketogenic options. However, specific items like meat skewers may not be available, but suitable alternatives will be provided.
