What is the minimum spend requirement for weekend events?

Weekend events have a minimum spend of £4,000 per day. This applies to all Saturday and Sunday bookings regardless of guest numbers or event type.

What are the Day Delegate Package rates and what's included?

The Classic Full Day Delegate Package costs £80 plus VAT per person (or £65 plus VAT on Mondays and Fridays) with a minimum of 30 guests. This includes room hire 8am-5pm, arrival pastries, mid-morning refreshments, deli sandwich lunch, afternoon tea with fruit skewers, screen and projector, Wi-Fi, flipchart, cloakroom, and directional signage.

What is the maximum seated capacity for dinner events?

The venue can accommodate a maximum of 60 people for seated meals. If you require more than 60 seated guests, you would need to reduce numbers or consider alternative arrangements.

What are the access times and late license options?

Standard access times are 8am-5pm for day events. Evening events can run until 11pm as standard, with a late license available until midnight for an additional £500 plus VAT.

Which rooms are recommended for different event types and what are their capacities?

The Council Chamber and Reception Room are recommended for most events and can accommodate up to 120 guests for standing receptions. For events requiring soundproofing or dancing, the Wolfson Room and Exhibition Area are available for an additional £700 plus VAT.

What catering upgrade options are available and at what cost?

Several upgrades are available: healthy working lunch for £5.50 plus VAT per person, bowl food (5 bowls per person) for £11.50 plus VAT per person, and fork buffet lunch for £15.00 plus VAT per person. All upgrades have minimum number requirements.

What entertainment and DJ options does the venue offer?

The venue can provide background music through their PA system or arrange silent disco options. For full DJ services, prices start from £850 plus VAT, and a dancefloor can be set up in the Reception Room.

What is the booking process and how do provision holds work?

After receiving a bespoke proposal, you can request a provision hold on your preferred date. The venue provides venue brochures, sample menus, and virtual tours to help with decision-making, and site visits can be arranged to view the spaces.

Are there any restrictions on external suppliers or special requirements?

The venue works with Searcys as their catering partner and can accommodate bespoke proposals. Specific vendor requirements and restrictions are handled on a case-by-case basis and should be discussed during the planning process.

What Christmas party packages and special event options are available?

Christmas events are available on a first-come, first-served basis due to high demand. The venue offers Christmas brochures with festive menu options and can accommodate Christmas dinners, drinks receptions, and parties with dancing in designated areas.
