What are the exact hire costs for the Foyle Centre spaces?

Foyle 1 costs £1,730 +VAT for day hire (09:00-17:00), while Foyle 2 costs £1,260 +VAT for the same period. Hiring both Foyle 1 and Foyle 2 together costs £2,530 +VAT for day hire. For extended events requiring all three spaces (Foyle 1, Foyle 2, and Atrium), the cost is £6,320 +VAT for 09:00-17:00.

What are the capacity limits for different seating arrangements in the Foyle Centre?

Foyle 1 accommodates 100 guests in theatre style. Foyle 2 can seat 100 guests theatre style or 80 guests cabaret style (10 tables with 8 guests each). When using both spaces together, you can accommodate up to 180 guests in theatre style across the combined area.

What AV equipment is included in the venue hire fee?

The hire fee includes projectors, large screens, built-in speakers, lecterns, staging, and microphones. Foyle 2 has two projectors and screens for enhanced visibility. You need to supply your own laptop for presentations, which connects via HDMI cable (Mac adaptors available on-site).

Are there additional security costs for Monday bookings?

Yes, Monday bookings require mandatory security at £187 +VAT to have the main museum doors opened and manned throughout your hire, as the museum is normally closed to the public on Mondays. This is quoted as approximately £20 per hour as a guide.

What catering arrangements are required and who provides them?

All daytime catering must be provided by the in-house catering partner, Searcys. You cannot bring external caterers for daytime events. Catering is arranged directly with Searcys after booking confirmation, and they provide menus and separate quotes for all food and beverage requirements.

How many exhibition stands can be accommodated across the spaces?

The maximum is 30 exhibition stands total - 16 in Foyle 2 and 14 in the Atrium. Each standard table space is 75cm x 150cm, and power outlets are available throughout both spaces. If exhibitors need more space, you should allocate two plots per exhibitor.

What are the delivery and courier arrangements for events?

Deliveries and collections must be booked for the day of the event only. All packages must be labeled 'FAO Venue Hire National Army Museum' so security can alert the venue hire team. You must provide a list of expected couriers and which exhibitors they're delivering to.

What is the booking process and payment timeline?

After confirming your requirements, you'll receive an order agreement to read, sign and return. Once signed, the finance team will send an invoice to your specified email address. For events requiring security (like Monday bookings), a separate security agreement must also be signed and returned.

Can the spaces be configured differently and what staging is available?

The Foyle Centre has soundproof, moveable partitions allowing flexible configurations from 2 large spaces down to 4 smaller spaces. Modular staging is available on-site and can be set up as 5m x 3m or 4m x 4m within the venue hire fee.

What are the standard operating hours and access times?

Standard day hire runs from 09:00-17:00. Evening access to spaces like the Atrium begins at 17:30 when the museum closes to the public. The venue has a small on-site car park ideal for deliveries with access on the same floor as the Foyle Centre.
