What is the wedding package pricing and what does it include?

The wedding package is £225.00 inc VAT per person based on 60 guests minimum. This includes hire of The Large Pension Room, The Benchers' Library and The Small Pension Room from 12pm to midnight on Saturdays (12pm to 10:30pm on Sundays), two glasses of prosecco during reception, three course fine dining menu followed by tea, coffee and petit fours, half bottle of house wine per person, one glass of prosecco for the toast, bottled water throughout, staff and security, red carpet, linen, furniture, crockery, glassware, electric candles, silver candlesticks, and menu tasting for the bride and groom.

What are the venue hire costs for different spaces and time periods?

The Large Pension Room costs £1450+VAT for 8am-5pm weekdays, £1595+VAT on Sundays, with special rates available for multiple Sunday bookings. Combined hire of Large Pension Room and Benchers Library is £2500+VAT for 9am-9pm. There is usually an extra charge for room use after 5pm, though this may be waived on occasion.

What are the capacity limits for different room layouts?

The Large Pension Room accommodates 110 maximum in theatre style, 60 for banqueting with round tables, and 50 for banqueting with long tables. The Hall can accommodate 150 guests for gala dinners. The marquee can hold up to 600 standing guests and is available between 5th June - 24th July.

What catering packages are available and at what cost?

Package 1 costs £55.00+VAT per person and includes tea/coffee/pastries on arrival, mid-morning refreshments, gourmet sandwich lunch with crisps and fruit, and afternoon tea/coffee/cake. Package 2 costs £75.00+VAT per person with breakfast baps on arrival, mid-morning refreshments, fork buffet with 3 main courses/1 salad/1 dessert, and afternoon refreshments. Fine dining packages start from £135.00+VAT per person for three courses with wine.

What is the payment schedule and cancellation policy?

100% payment is required six weeks before the event. Quotes are valid for 30 days from receipt and may be subject to change after this period. The venue operates on a first-come, first-served basis for bookings.

What AV equipment is included and what are the additional costs?

Standard AV includes screen, lectern and 3 microphones for most rooms. The Bingham Room has projector, screen with integrated ceiling speakers, 75inch CleverTouch TV, and 2 hand-held microphones. DJ services cost £850+VAT, and lighting packages are available upon request with quotes from suppliers.

What are the viewing times and booking hold procedures?

Viewings are available Monday to Friday between 9am-11am or 3pm-5:30pm. Provisional holds can be placed on spaces, but bookings will be released if no response is received by specified deadlines. The venue may release bookings without confirmation within set timeframes.

Are there restrictions on decorations, external suppliers, and food policies?

Venue hire does not include decorations - these must be arranged separately. You can bring your own cake but must sign a disclaimer on arrival. External catering access and supplier arrangements need to be discussed with the venue directly.

What is included in the summer marquee hire and when is it available?

The summer marquee is available between 5th June - 24th July and includes full event management, lounge/dining/garden furniture, manned cloakroom, PA system with microphones, event security, integrated bar setup, ambient lighting, sound and lighting engineer, elegant toilets with attendants, and dancefloor. BBQ packages start from £138.00+VAT per person for 400+ guests.

What are the operating hours and any time-based restrictions?

Saturday events can run from 12pm to midnight, while Sunday events run from 12pm to 10:30pm. Weekday events typically run 8am-5pm with additional charges for use after 5pm. The venue offers both exclusive hire options and shared space arrangements depending on the event type and size.
