What are the different package pricing options and what's included in each?
Bakers' Hall offers three main packages: £55 +VAT per person for basic day hire (Livery Hall 08:00-16:00 with arrival refreshments, tea/coffee throughout, basic AV), £70 +VAT per person for full DDR package (Livery Hall & Charter Gallery 09:00-17:00 with arrival refreshments, mid-morning break, sandwich lunch, afternoon break, basic AV, minimum 25 guests), and £125 +VAT per person for premium package (Print Room & Charter Gallery 09:00-16:00 with continental breakfast, lunch, AV equipment, based on 8 guests). All prices exclude VAT.
What are the available spaces and their capacity limits?
The venue has multiple spaces including the Livery Hall (suitable for 28+ guests), Print Room (suitable for smaller groups of 8), and Charter Gallery (used for catering alongside other spaces). The venue cannot accommodate events with very high numbers, as indicated when they declined an event that was "higher than our venue can accommodate."
What AV equipment is included and what are the setup requirements?
Standard AV includes pull-up screen & projector, 1 handheld microphone, flip chart & pens, and PA system. The Print Room has AV equipment installed, so you only need to bring your laptop to connect. All packages include basic presentation equipment as standard.
What are the standard operating hours and early start fees?
Standard venue hire typically runs 08:00-17:00 or 09:00-16:00 depending on the package. If you need to start at 8:00am instead of 9:00am, there's a one-off charge of £100 +VAT for early access.
What catering is included in each package?
The £55 package includes arrival tea/coffee/pastries and refreshments throughout the day. The £70 DDR package adds mid-morning tea/coffee/biscuits, sandwich lunch with soft drinks, and mid-afternoon tea/coffee/biscuits. The £125 package includes continental breakfast buffet with fresh orange juice, sandwich lunch with soft drinks selection, and tea/coffee during meetings.
What are the minimum guest requirements for bookings?
The full DDR package at £70 +VAT per person has a minimum requirement of 25 guests. Other packages appear to have lower minimums, with the Print Room package quoted for as few as 8 guests.
How does the booking process work and what hold periods are available?
The venue can place dates on hold in their diary while you make decisions. They operate on a first-come-first-served basis with some dates held on "2nd option" where they will chase the primary client for confirmation. Venue visits can be arranged to view the spaces before booking.
Can the venue accommodate both daytime and evening events on the same date?
Yes, the venue can host both daytime and evening events on the same date, as they specifically ask clients to clarify whether their event is daytime or evening when there's already an evening event confirmed. This suggests they can accommodate multiple events per day with different time slots.
What additional items are provided with the packages?
Packages include staff, linen, glassware, cutlery, crockery, jugs of water throughout the day, and notepad & pen per person. The venue provides all necessary service items as part of their packages.
What happens if my preferred date is unavailable?
If your specific date is unavailable, the venue will suggest alternative dates or weeks. They maintain a flexible approach and will work with you to find suitable alternatives, as demonstrated when offering the week commencing 31st March as an alternative to 10th-14th March.
