What is the maximum capacity for the Pop-up space and what are the seating configurations available?

The Pop-up space can accommodate 300-350 people standing. For seated events, the Black Studio (one of the three spaces) can seat up to 170 people conference style or 300 standing. The venue does not provide chairs in-house, which must be hired externally through suppliers like yahire.com.

What are the daily hire rates and what's included in the base price?

Daily hire fees start at £2,000 + VAT per day (8am-6pm) for basic spaces. The Black Studio costs £3,500 + VAT and includes sound system, lighting, LED screen, and wired microphone. The Onyx Bar is £1,500 + VAT including all staff and security. The Warehouse costs £2,500 + VAT.

What audio-visual equipment is included and what are the technical capabilities?

The venue includes custom Funktion1 sound systems throughout, LED screens in all spaces, professional lighting, and wired microphones. The Black Studio has its own sound system, lighting, LED screen, and wired mic included in hire. Advanced in-house audio-visual facilities are available to enhance events.

Does the venue provide catering services or allow external caterers?

Studio Spaces does not provide in-house catering but welcomes external caterers. They work with catering partners like Pique for light nibbles and can provide recommendations. The venue has full bar service available with drinks tokens for beer/wine/soft drinks at £8.50 inc VAT each.

What are the standard operating hours and access times for events?

Standard day hire runs from 8am-6pm. The venue can accommodate extended hours and overnight events, with some bookings running from 8pm Friday to 5am Saturday. Setup access can be arranged, with some events requiring access from 8am for setup with live events running 12pm-3pm.

What furniture and equipment must be hired separately?

Chairs must be hired externally through suppliers like yahire.com as the venue doesn't have chairs in-house. Tables, staging, and specialized furniture like trestle tables for workshops or soft furnishing clusters need to be arranged separately. The venue can provide a small stage for speakers in some spaces.

Are there any restrictions on event types or activities?

The venue is highly versatile and accommodates product launches, parties, exhibitions, filming, photography, and corporate events. However, availability varies by date and some events may be declined if they don't fit the venue's capacity or requirements. The venue has an alcohol license and can host late-night events.

What is the booking process and payment structure?

Initial enquiries go through events@studio-spaces.com with Adam Newsome as Head of Events & Production. Site visits can be arranged to view the spaces. The venue provides detailed event packs with full venue information and quotes are provided based on specific requirements including dates, capacity, and technical needs.

What security and staffing is provided with the venue hire?

Some spaces like the Onyx Bar include all staff and security in the £1,500 + VAT hire fee. The venue has an in-house dedicated production team to support events. Security arrangements vary by space and event type, with costs included in some packages but may be additional for others.
