What are the capacity limits for each area of The Rooftop?
The Full Rooftop can accommodate up to 180 guests in a standing reception layout. The Gallery holds up to 60 guests, The Deck accommodates up to 100 guests, Half Deck holds up to 50 guests, and The Room can accommodate up to 25 guests, all in reception-style layouts.
Are there restrictions on which days I can book partial areas of The Rooftop?
Yes, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, only full exclusive hires of The Rooftop are available. Partial areas like The Gallery, Deck, or Room cannot be booked on these days - you must book the entire Rooftop space.
What are the operating hours and music restrictions for events?
Events can run from 15:00 to 24:00 (midnight), with music allowed to play until 24:00. Setup is complimentary before 16:00, and teardown is complimentary until 00:00.
How far in advance can I book, and are there any booking restrictions?
The venue cannot provide quotes for bookings beyond January 2025 currently, and their event sales strategy from October 2025 onwards is under review. For groups of 60 guests or less, they will only provide quotes a maximum of 30 days prior to the event date.
What happens if I don't meet the minimum spend requirement?
If the agreed minimum spend on food and beverage is not met, the remaining amount will be charged as room hire. The 13% discretionary service charge is applied to the total food and beverage spend regardless.
What food and beverage options are available and how are they priced?
Canapés start from £14.00-£15.00 per person including VAT (choose 3 options), with premium canapés at £21.00 per person. Bowl and Buns options start from £27.00-£29.00 per person (choose 3), with premium options at £38.00 per person. Sweet selections start from £12.00 per person including 3 items.
What weather protection and heating is available for outdoor areas?
All areas of The Rooftop are equipped with retractable canopies in case of adverse weather conditions and heaters for guest comfort. The venue features a retractable roof system to ensure events can proceed regardless of weather.
Can I book just a table for smaller groups instead of private hire?
For bookings of fewer than 25 guests that do not require a private space, you can contact the Rooftop team directly at their restaurant email 30 days prior to your event, or the events team can forward your inquiry to them for regular table bookings.
What AV equipment and entertainment options are available?
The venue allows both DJs and live bands, with DJ services available for approximately £750.00. They can provide access to digital screens for presentations or demos, and the space is suitable for background music and entertainment setups.
