Frequently asked questions

The venue offers two private dinner packages: £99 per person for minimum 35 people (includes private room hire, arrival drink, 3-course set menu with tea/coffee, half bottle wine per person, half bottle water per person, dedicated event planner, VAT and service charge) or £105 per person with maximum 2-2-2 menu choices for the whole group. Additional drinks are charged on consumption basis.

The Canterbury Suite accommodates maximum 50 people in banqueting style with 65.33 sqm area on the 1st floor. The Regency Suite holds up to 60 banqueting style with 120 sqm area. The Ballroom Suite can accommodate up to 120 banqueting style (10 rounds of 12) or 170 theatre style with 174.24 sqm total area, all with natural daylight, AC, heating, disabled access and WiFi.

Provisional bookings are typically held for 1 week on either 1st option or shared option basis. Decision deadlines are strictly enforced - for example, decisions required by 5pm the following day for automatic release. If not confirmed within the hold period, the venue reserves the right to release or offer the space to other bookers.

Room hire varies by space: Regency Suite £2,500 including VAT for 50 people cabaret (minimum 45 chargeable), Ballroom Suite £5,000 including VAT. Day delegate packages start from £80-£96 per person (reduced from £95-£110). Some events require minimum spend for food and drinks, such as £500-£600 including VAT for cocktail receptions.

Tea and coffee options range from £5 per person per serving to £15 per person for unlimited service. Working lunch is £25 per person served in meeting rooms. Christmas packages are £115 per person including 3-course festive menu, arrival drink, half bottle wine and water per person. Additional drinks are charged on consumption basis with card bar options available.

Basic room hire includes 1 LCD screen with projector, flipchart, and WiFi. PA system with 2 wireless microphones costs £250 including VAT (Ballroom only). Lectern is £60 including VAT. For complex AV requirements, clients are connected with designated suppliers or can bring their own equipment with proper PAT test, public liability and RAMS forms.

Cancellation charges are: 52-12 weeks prior: 30% of function charges, 12-8 weeks: 50%, 8-4 weeks: 80%, within 4 weeks: 100% of charges. These policies apply to all event types and are strictly enforced regardless of circumstances.

Printing services cost £0.75 per page for double-sided colour A4 documents. Name tag printing is available on hotel-branded place cards. Coffee machines can be provided for free-flow service instead of flasks. The venue can arrange deliveries and coordinate with external suppliers, but requires advance notice for logistics coordination.

Events typically run 6pm-11pm for dinners or 18:30-23:30 for Christmas events. Day conferences usually operate 9am-5pm with DDR packages.
