What are the pricing options for private dining events and what's included?

The venue offers two private dinner packages: £99 per person for minimum 35 people (includes private room hire, arrival drink, 3-course set menu with tea/coffee, half bottle wine per person, half bottle water per person, dedicated event planner, VAT and service charge) or £105 per person with maximum 2-2-2 menu choices for the whole group. Additional drinks are charged on consumption basis.

What is the maximum capacity for dining events and which spaces are available?

The Canterbury Suite accommodates up to 50 people in banqueting style with 65.33 sqm of space on the 1st floor. The space features natural daylight, AC and heating, disabled access, and WiFi.

What are the standard event timings for dinner bookings?

Dinner events typically run from 6pm to 11pm. The venue requires booking decisions within specific timeframes, with automatic release if not confirmed by the stated deadline (usually within 1 week of the initial hold).

How long can I hold a date without confirming and what are the booking deadlines?

Spaces are held on 1st option for 1 week, after which the venue reserves the right to release or offer the space to another booker. Final event details must be submitted by noon on the Friday before the event, and any modifications after this deadline are subject to availability.

What menu flexibility is available for group dining?

The venue offers maximum 3-3-3 menu choices (3 starters, 3 mains, 3 desserts) for the whole group, with menu choices to be confirmed at least 14 days prior to the event. Name cards and seating plans must be self-arranged by the client.

What additional services are available and what do they cost?

The venue can provide name tag printing on place cards (displaying hotel name at bottom), agenda printing at £0.75 per page double-sided colour A4, and can accommodate client deliveries on the day of the event. A minimum drinks spend of £500-600 including VAT is recommended for cocktail receptions.

What are the cancellation terms and associated charges?

Cancellation charges are: 30% between 52-12 weeks prior, 50% between 12-8 weeks prior, 80% between 8-4 weeks prior, and 100% within 4 weeks of the event date. These charges apply to all function-related costs.

Can I bring my own decorations or materials and are there delivery restrictions?

Clients can bring materials directly on the day of the event rather than shipping in advance. The venue requires delivery details including date, time, and the name of the person making the delivery to coordinate with their concierge team.

What coffee and beverage options are available during events?

The venue can provide a coffee machine in the room for free-flow coffee during meetings instead of flasks, and offers unlimited tea and coffee at £15 per person per day. Additional drinks beyond the package are charged on a consumption basis.

Are there any restrictions on menu modifications or special dietary requirements?

Menu choices must be confirmed 14 days prior to the event, and the venue operates with maximum choice limitations (3-3-3 or 2-2-2 depending on package). Any changes to event requirements after initial booking may be subject to requoting based on availability.
