All minimum spends are on food and beverage services and include a mandatory 13% discretionary service charge.
What are the capacity limits for each area of The Rooftop?
The Full Rooftop can accommodate up to 180 guests in a reception layout, the Deck area up to 100 guests, the Gallery area up to 60 guests, The Room up to 25 guests, and the Half Deck up to 50 guests. All capacities are for standing reception format.
What are the operating hours and music restrictions for events?
Events are available from 15:00 to 24:00 (midnight), with music permitted to play until 24:00. The venue provides retractable canopies and heaters for adverse weather conditions.
Are there specific day restrictions for booking different areas?
Yes, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, only full exclusive hires of The Rooftop are available. Partial area bookings (Deck, Gallery, The Room) are not offered on these days.
What is the booking policy for smaller groups under 25 guests?
For bookings of fewer than 25 guests that do not require a private space, you must contact The Rooftop team directly at their dedicated email address, but only 30 days prior to your event date. For groups of 60 guests or less, quotes are only provided a maximum of 30 days before the event date.
What are the food and beverage pricing options?
Canapés start from £14.00-£15.00 per person including VAT (choose 3 options), with premium canapés at £21.00 per person. Bowl and Buns options start from £27.00-£29.00 per person (choose 3), with premium options at £38.00 per person. Sweet selections are £12.00 per person including 3 items. If the minimum spend is not met, the remaining amount is charged as room hire.
How far in advance can bookings be made?
The venue currently accepts bookings through January 2025, with their event sales strategy for October 2025 onwards under review. They will provide updates during summer 2025 for later dates.
What entertainment and AV options are available?
The venue allows both DJs and live bands, with music permitted until midnight. They have AV capabilities and can accommodate requests for screens or monitors for presentations and visuals, though specific technical details should be confirmed directly with the events team.
What is the payment structure and service charges?
All minimum spends are inclusive of VAT, with a mandatory 13% discretionary service charge added to the final food and beverage bill. The minimum spend must be met through food and beverage purchases, or any shortfall will be charged as room hire.
Is there flexibility for non-private bookings and regular dining reservations?
For non-private events or regular table bookings at The Rooftop, guests are directed to contact the restaurant's reservations team separately. The events team handles only private and semi-private hire arrangements with minimum spend requirements.
