What are the screen capacities and venue hire costs for individual screens?

ODEON LUXE & DINE Islington has 6 screens with varying capacities: Screen 1 (47 seats), Screen 2 (32 seats), Screen 3 (32 seats), Screen 4 (32 seats), Screen 5 (40 seats), and Screen 6 (30 seats). Individual screen hire costs £800 + VAT per screen for business events, or £1,100 + VAT for shorter presentations/talks.

What is the cost for a full venue buyout and what does it include?

A full venue buyout costs £9,500 + VAT and provides exclusive access to the entire foyer and all screens. This is required if you want private access to common areas like the foyer and bar space during cinema operating hours.

What technical equipment and support is included in the hire cost?

All bookings include exclusive screen use with in-house AV equipment supporting presentation-style setup on screen, 1 microphone as standard (additional mics cost £50 each), and staffing plus technical support on the day. A mandatory technical rehearsal must be scheduled at least 3 days prior to your event.

What are the food and beverage options and pricing?

Refreshment options include tea and coffee (£2.50 per person), bottled water (£1.90), bags of popcorn (£4.90), and a water/popcorn/sweets combo (£8.50). All prices are per person and exclude VAT. Additional catering options can be discussed based on your specific event requirements.

Can I use the foyer or bar areas without doing a full venue buyout?

No, if the cinema remains open to the public, only a section of the foyer can be used privately with a maximum capacity of 30-50 people depending on fire safety regulations. For full private access to foyer and bar areas, you must book a complete venue buyout.

What are the limitations for large group bookings?

The largest single screen capacity is 47 seats, so groups over this size cannot be accommodated in one screen. For 100+ guests, you would need to book multiple screens (e.g., 3 screens at £800 + VAT each) or consider alternative ODEON locations like Tottenham Court Road or LUXE Holloway.

How long are quotes valid and what is the booking process?

All quotes are valid for 14 days from issue date. After accepting a quote, availability must be double-checked with the Film booking Team before confirmation. The sales team works Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00, with emails outside these hours responded to as soon as possible.

Are there restrictions on film content and additional licensing fees?

Current release films are included in the standard hire cost. Older films typically require additional distributor rights fees of approximately £250 including VAT. The venue can source older films but licensing costs depend on the specific title and distributor requirements.

What setup and timing arrangements are available?

Events can include dedicated setup time before guest arrival, with typical schedules allowing 30-60 minutes for preparation. For example, setup at 08:00 for 09:00 guest arrival and 09:00 screen start time. Specific timing arrangements should be discussed when booking.

Does the venue have IMAX capabilities or special screen formats?

No, ODEON LUXE & DINE Islington does not have IMAX screens. All screens are standard digital format with luxury recliner seating and state-of-the-art AES sound systems suitable for presentations and film screenings.
