What are the wedding package costs and what's included?

Wedding packages start from £148 per person for 2025, rising to £160 per person for weekend hire and £176 per person for 2026. The package includes a 7-hour wedding reception celebration onboard, 2 x 15-minute pier slots to embark and disembark at Tower Bridge Quay, 1.5 glasses Prosecco on arrival, 3-course seated menu, half bottle house wine with filtered table water, glass of Prosecco per person for speeches, and all onboard staffing. A minimum charge for 60 guests applies and all prices include VAT with no service charges.

What are the capacity limits for different event types?

Silver Barracuda accommodates 250 guests for seated or standing celebrations. For weddings specifically on Driftwoods (their newest vessel), the maximum capacity for a dinner dance is 190 guests. All wedding packages require a minimum of 60 guests regardless of actual attendance.

What are the timing restrictions and latest finish times?

Wedding celebrations run for up to 7 hours with the latest finish time at midnight. Suggested wedding timings are 5pm-midnight. For dry hire events, you have access to a 5-hour live event during peak season, with caterers able to begin setup from 12pm.

Where do guests embark and disembark, and what are the pier charges?

All events embark and disembark at Tower Bridge Quay, located behind Tower Bridge. Wedding packages include 2 x 15-minute pier slots. For dry hire events, pier charges are £375 + VAT per 15 minutes at available piers, which are additional to the charter costs.

What are the charter fees and how do they work?

Charter fees vary by vessel and duration. Driftwoods wedding charter fee is £7,000 (VAT exempt). For other vessels, 4-hour charters range from £6,000-£7,500 (VAT exempt), while 5-hour charters are around £7,000-£7,500. Charter fees are separate from catering packages and include basic pier charges for embarkation and disembarkation.

Can we bring our own caterers and what are the restrictions?

Yes, dry hire is available subject to caterer approval by Woods Silver Fleet. Your caterer must provide all their own crockery, cutlery, and staff, though the venue can provide furniture including tables and chairs. Both charter rates and catering buy-out fees apply for dry hire, with the charter rate being VAT exempt and the catering buy-out fee subject to 20% VAT.

What food and beverage options are available for wedding receptions?

Wedding packages include a 3-course seated menu with half bottle of house wine and filtered table water. Canape packages start at £108 + VAT per person including free-flowing beer, wine, and soft drinks. Bowl food packages are also available at £108 + VAT per person. Additional options include arrival cocktails from £11.75 per person and premium wine packages from £6.60 per person.

Are there any seasonal pricing differences or peak season restrictions?

Yes, wedding packages apply to weekend hire only. During peak season, setup access begins at 12pm for dry hire events. Some venues offer discounted rates for certain months - for example, a 50% discount on room hire was offered for March bookings at Woods Quay.

What entertainment and AV facilities are available?

The upper deck features a part-reclining roof over the dance floor that can be opened in fine weather. DJs can be included in packages, and the venue works with AV suppliers who can provide uplighters, screens, and microphones. The Silver Barracuda has two levels with the upper deck perfect for late night dancing.

What are the setup and breakdown timeframes?

For dry hire events during peak season, caterers have access from 12pm to begin setup. Wedding celebrations typically run 5pm-midnight (7 hours total). The venue mentions access for setup from 8am with all suppliers required to clear by 2am for some events, though this varies by package type.
