What is the venue hire cost and what's included in the base price?

Standard venue hire is £10,000 per day, but reduced rates are available depending on event size and type (quotes show reductions to £5,000-£6,000 for many events). The base price includes all AV equipment (10x 55-inch TVs, bespoke lighting, PA system, handheld microphone), uniformed SIA security staff, cloakroom attendants, all furniture, glassware, and 72x 13amp & USB power points. A technical operator is available on-site for an additional charge.

What are the capacity limits for different event layouts?

Maximum capacity is 450 people standing (excluding staff), 360 for dinner/dance events, and 200-300 for theatre-style seating. The venue has fixed casual seating for 168 people in the alcoves. The space includes one main area with 10 alcoves (each 7m x 3.5m) branching off, making it suitable for breakout sessions or intimate gatherings within larger events.

What are the licensing hours and restrictions?

The venue has a 00:00 (midnight) licence Monday to Thursday and Sunday (23:00 on Sundays), extending to 00:30 on Friday and Saturday nights. De-rig must be completed before 21:00 (9pm) on the event day or the following morning due to landlord restrictions. This affects setup and breakdown timing for events.

What catering options and pricing are available?

In-house catering is provided by a Michelin-trained chef with packages including: 6 canapés £35pp, 10 canapés £45pp, 5 bowl/street food options £55pp, 3-course lunch/dinner £90pp, and DDR (tea/coffee/lunch) £77pp. Drinks packages include 3-hour beer/wine/soft drinks £35pp, open bar £25pp per hour, and 45-minute prosecco reception £25pp. All prices are exclusive of VAT.

Can external caterers use the venue and what kitchen facilities are available?

Yes, external caterers can access the full-service in-house kitchen, which is available for all cuisine types and budgets. The venue has a Michelin-trained chef on-site and can accommodate various catering requirements. Specific kitchen access arrangements and any additional fees for external caterer use should be confirmed when booking.

What AV and technical equipment is included?

The venue includes 10x 55-inch TVs (2 on mobile stands, all linked), bespoke venue lighting throughout, in-house PA system for background music, handheld microphone, 32amp 3-phase power, 72x 13amp & USB points, and strong private internet connection. An in-house creative production team is available, and a technical operator can be provided on-site for an additional charge.

Are there minimum spend requirements or additional mandatory costs?

Some events require minimum bar spends (quotes show £4,000 minimum bar spend for certain large events). Security is mandatory and included in the venue hire price. For multi-day bookings, the standard £10,000 daily rate can be reduced (one quote showed £5,000 per day for a 7-day booking). All catering and drinks are charged separately from venue hire.

What accessibility features and parking options are available?

The venue has full disabled access including wheelchair access via a platform. It's located in St Katharine Docks with excellent transport links near Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. The venue can accommodate guests with mobility requirements, and disabled parking access is available for events that require it.

How far in advance should events be booked and what is the payment process?

The venue appears to have good availability with many dates confirmed as available in correspondence. All invoices must be paid prior to the event. For planning purposes, the venue can provide site visits with the Operations Manager, and quotes are typically provided quickly after initial enquiry.

What setup and breakdown time is allowed?

Setup access varies by event but examples show access from 4pm for 6pm events, or from 8am for all-day events. Breakdown must be completed by 21:00 (9pm) on the event day or can be done the following morning due to landlord restrictions. Early access may incur additional charges, and overnight storage for a couple of boxes can be arranged for courier pickup.
