What is the base venue hire cost and what does it include?

Venue hire starts from £8,500 + VAT for exclusive access up to 15 hours. This includes use of the gig-standard stage, sound and lighting rig, but does not include staffing, security, or catering which are charged separately.

What are the mandatory additional costs beyond venue hire?

Event staffing and security costs £4,000 + VAT, sound and lighting package costs £1,500 + VAT (valued at over £15,000), and pre/post event cleaning is £500 + VAT. These are required for all events and bring the minimum total to £14,500 + VAT before catering.

What is the capacity for seated dining events?

The venue can accommodate up to 220 guests seated in front of the stage area, while leaving the archway spaces free for drinks and catering. For presentation-style events, 100 guests can be easily seated with plenty of standing room remaining for catering and drinks.

What catering options and pricing are available?

Bowl food packages cost £33 + VAT per person for 5 bowls (hot and cold) plus 1 sweet bowl, with a minimum of 150 guests. Hot DDR catering is £75 + VAT per person including breakfast, snacks, lunch, drinks and barista service. The venue works with preferred caterers including Cater London, Wolf & Lamb, Dinner Ladies, and KERB Events.

What are the drinks package options and pricing?

Unlimited drinks packages start at £10 + VAT per person per hour for house beer, wine and soft drinks, with packages starting from £22 + VAT per person for 2-hour events. If you have drinks sponsors, a corkage fee per person applies, or a 'bar buy-out' fee if supplying all drinks throughout the event.

What AV equipment is included and what costs extra?

The venue includes gig-standard PA and lighting facilities, staging, DJ equipment and photobooth. Large screen/projector with video technician costs an additional £2,000-£4,500 + VAT depending on the package. Chair hire and delivery for seated events costs £1,000-£1,500 + VAT.

What are the restrictions on event types and booking methods?

The venue does not book any public, ticketed, or music events through online platforms like Hirespace - these must be booked directly with the programming team. Saturdays typically have limited availability, and the venue is primarily available for private corporate and celebration events.

What is the booking process and timeline requirements?

Dates are held on first or second option basis, with urgent bookings requiring confirmation within 24-48 hours to secure staff availability. The venue requires specific event details including guest numbers, timing, and catering requirements before providing final quotes, and site visits can be arranged between 10am-5pm on weekdays.

Are there any unique venue features or special requirements?

The venue features iconic trains on the roof and exposed brick archways, offering unique photo opportunities. It has over 450 square metres of internal space with high ceilings and natural daylight. The venue can accommodate aerial performers attached to the lighting truss and has a backstage green room available.

What is the pricing for wedding receptions specifically?

Wedding venue hire is £6,000 + VAT plus staffing costs, including exclusive access to the main venue, access to trains and rooftop for photography, gig-level stage/sound/lighting rig, and a dedicated event sales manager. External caterers are welcome, and the venue works with London's leading catering partners.
