What are the venue's operating days and can events be held on weekends?

Surveyors House is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. All events must be scheduled Monday through Friday, though Friday evening events are possible for private dining and celebrations.

What catering upgrade options are available and at what cost?

You can upgrade from finger food buffet lunch to a hot fork buffet for an additional £10-£20 plus VAT per person (pricing varies by package). Minimum menu prices for private dining start from £45 plus VAT per person, with preorders required.

What are the pricing and inclusions for evening reception packages?

Reception packages start at £115 plus VAT per person, including glass of Searcys English sparkling on arrival, 3 canapés and 3 bowls per person, 3-hour unlimited house wine, beer and soft drinks, cloakroom service, and venue hire from 6pm-9pm or 6pm-10pm depending on the package.

How long are provisional bookings held and what is the booking process?

Provisional bookings are typically held for 5 working days to several weeks depending on the event date and demand. For busy periods like June, spaces may be held longer. You'll need to provide layout preferences, approximate timings, budget, and meal type requirements before receiving a detailed proposal.

What AV equipment is included and what additional technical support is available?

Standard packages include in-built screen and projector, speakers, stage with lectern and lectern microphone, 2 hand-held or lapel microphones, and AV assistance upon arrival and on calls. The venue can accommodate video-conferencing capabilities and has registration desk facilities in the Council Chamber.

What are the Christmas party packages and minimum requirements?

Festive dining packages start at £144 plus VAT per person with a minimum of 75 guests, including glass of Prosecco, three-course festive dinner, half bottle of house wine per person, Christmas decorations, and venue hire from 6pm-11pm.
