The Conference & Events package costs £445 per hour and includes the Upper Room (200 theatre capacity), standard AV equipment with 1 technician, and 2 staff members to facilitate the event. All bookings must include setup and pack down time - minimum 30 minutes setup and 15-30 minutes pack down, with a £150 post-event cleaning charge applying to all bookings.

What days of the week is King's House available for hire?

King's House is only available for hire Thursday through Saturday. The venue is not available for bookings on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

What AV equipment and technical capabilities are included in the standard package?

Standard AV includes a 150-inch projector screen positioned between two wall-mounted 65-inch TVs, full PA system, and one dedicated technician. The venue is fully equipped for HD live streaming, hybrid events, Zoom integration, and live music with bespoke lighting capabilities and professional sound systems.

What are the capacity limits and seating arrangements available?

The Upper Room has a maximum capacity of 200 people in theatre style seating. The space is flexible and can accommodate various layouts including cabaret style, with chairs and tables provided free of charge as part of the hire.

What catering restrictions apply and what services are available?

King's House is a completely NUT-FREE venue and all catering must comply with this restriction. The venue operates as dry-hire with recommended external caterers available, plus an unlimited teas and coffee service at £2 per person that can be provided by the venue.

What are the payment terms and deposit requirements?

Full payment is typically due by the standard deadline, but payment plans can be arranged with extra notice (e.g., partial payment initially, then remainder plus refundable security surcharge by a specified date). A refundable security surcharge applies to all bookings, and any overtime beyond the booked hours comes out of this surcharge.

What technical requirements must be submitted in advance?

All AV files, logos, and presentation materials must be sent via WeTransfer to kings.house.b3hv7r.c.e@reply.hirespace.com by midday the day before your event. A detailed schedule must also be completed by midday two days before the event, specifying exact technical requirements and timing for the technician.

Can external vendors and deliveries be arranged for events?

Yes, external caterers can be arranged through the venue's recommended suppliers, and deliveries can be accepted the day before your event. Kitchen access is included in the hire, and the venue can facilitate coordination with approved external vendors for specialized requirements.

What additional services are included with the venue hire?

The hire includes 2 dedicated staff members to facilitate your event, 1 professional technician for AV support, access to the kitchen facilities, chairs and tables at no extra charge, and post-event cleaning. The venue also offers logo display on screens and can support live streaming and hybrid event capabilities.

What are the setup and breakdown time requirements?

All quotes must include setup and pack down time within the total hours booked. Standard requirements are 60 minutes setup and 30 minutes pack down, though this can be reduced to minimum 30 minutes setup and 15 minutes pack down if you can stack chairs, fold tables, and clear rubbish within that timeframe.
