The Conference & Events package costs £445 per hour, which includes the Upper Room (200 theatre capacity), standard AV equipment with 1 technician, and 2 staff members to facilitate your event. All bookings must include setup and pack down time - minimum 30 minutes setup and 15-30 minutes pack down, with standard being 60 minutes setup and 30 minutes pack down.

There is a mandatory £150 post-event cleaning charge that applies to all bookings. You'll also need to pay a refundable security surcharge (amount varies). Unlimited teas and coffees are available for £2 per person if required.

King's House is only available for hire Thursday through Saturday. The venue is completely nut-free, so no nuts or nut-containing products are permitted anywhere in the building.

The Upper Room has a maximum capacity of 200 people in theatre style seating. The space is 1700 square feet and starts as a blank canvas, allowing flexibility for various layouts including round tables, rectangular tables, or mixed configurations depending on your event needs.

The standard AV package includes a 150-inch projector, two wall-mounted 65-inch TVs, full PA system, bespoke lighting, and hybrid event capabilities for HD live streaming. One dedicated technician is included to manage all technical requirements throughout your event.

Full payment is typically due by the standard deadline, but James offers flexibility with a two-week extension option for split payments (e.g., partial payment initially, then remainder plus security surcharge by a later date). Payment must be arranged through their supplier registration process.

King's House operates as dry-hire with recommended external caterers including Funthyme, Bart's Table, Arch, and Fat Macy's. You can also arrange your own catering delivery or use services like JustEat Business. The venue has kitchen access available, and all catering arrangements need advance coordination with the venue team.

You must complete a detailed schedule document by midday the Tuesday before your event, including specific AV requirements and technician needs. Event materials like slides, logos, and presentation files must be submitted via WeTransfer to their designated email address. The venue can display your logo on screens and accepts delivery of event materials the day before your event.

Chairs and tables are provided free of charge as part of the venue hire. The space includes kitchen access, and you can choose between the 150-inch projector or the two 65-inch wall-mounted TVs for presentations (or use both simultaneously).
