What are the screen options and capacities available for private screenings?

ODEON Luxe Swiss Cottage offers 5 screens: Screen 1 IMAX with 188 recliner seats (including wheelchair spaces), Screen 2 with 71 seats, Screen 3 with 46 seats, Screen 4 with 53 seats, and Screen 5 with 49 seats. All screens feature reclining seats and are inclusive of wheelchair accessible spaces.

How much does it cost to hire each screen for private events?

Screen 1 IMAX costs £4,500-£4,700 including VAT for a 3-hour block booking (pricing varies slightly by source). Screen 4 (53 capacity) costs £1,060 including VAT. The smaller screens (Screens 2-5) are quoted at £850 plus VAT for a day hire, though Screen 2 has also been quoted at £1,000 plus VAT per day.

What technical equipment and AV support is included in the hire cost?

All screen hires include exclusive auditorium use with in-house AV supporting presentation-style setup on screen, 1 microphone as standard, staffing and technical support on the day. Additional microphones cost £50 each, and a technical rehearsal must be scheduled at least 3 days prior to the event.

What food and beverage options are available and what do they cost?

Standard packages include: medium popcorn and bottled water for £7.95 including VAT, medium popcorn with bottled water and sweets for £10.95, nachos with three dips or hot dog with sweets and water for £12.50 including VAT. Upgrades include soft drinks for £0.90 per person or Ice Blast for £1.25 per person, with a Kids Mix available for £3.50.

How long are quotes valid and what is the booking process?

Quotes are valid for 14 days from issue. After accepting a quote, availability must be double-checked with the Film booking Team before confirmation. The venue requires specific timing details including arrival time for setup, guest arrival time, screen start/finish times, and overall event finish time.

What are the maximum capacity limits and restrictions?

The largest screen (IMAX Screen 1) accommodates a maximum of 188 guests and cannot exceed this capacity. Events requiring more than 188 guests will be referred to alternative ODEON venues such as ODEON Luxe Leicester Square or ODEON Tottenham Court Road.

What are the venue's operating hours and contact arrangements?

The sales team operates Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00, with emails received outside these hours responded to as soon as possible. Site visits can be arranged with either the sales team or a dedicated General Manager to walk through the cinematic event experience.

Can I screen my own films or content, and are there any restrictions?

The venue can accommodate custom content including documentary footage via ProRes/.mov files with stereo sound. However, specific film licensing and content approval processes are handled through the Film booking Team, and customers must confirm what films they wish to screen during the enquiry process.

Are there additional catering options beyond the standard packages?

Additional catering includes tea and coffee for £2.50, bottled water prepared in the auditorium for £1.90, bags of popcorn ready in the auditorium for £4.90, and a water/popcorn/sweets combo for £8.50. All quoted figures are excluding VAT unless otherwise stated.

What happens if my event requirements exceed the venue's capacity or capabilities?

If your requirements cannot be accommodated at Swiss Cottage (such as exceeding 188 guest capacity), the venue will proactively find alternative venues within the ODEON network. Alternative locations suggested include ODEON Luxe Leicester Square and ODEON Tottenham Court Road.
