What are the capacity limits for different spaces at The Art Academy?

The auditorium accommodates up to 70 people in classroom layout. Studio spaces can handle up to 150-200 people for larger events like dinners. For smaller events, individual studios work well for intimate gatherings of 30-35 guests.

What are the viewing hours and how do I schedule a site visit?

The venue is open for viewings Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. You need to contact them directly to book a specific time slot for your tour with their Development Coordinator.

What furniture and equipment is included in the hire?

The venue provides rectangular wooden trestle tables (sufficient for 50 guests), chairs, and a 5-meter wide screen projector with high-quality speakers. They have 12 professional potter's wheels available for ceramics events.

Can I bring external catering and decorators?

Yes, external catering and decorators are allowed. However, they have approved drinks suppliers or charge corkage fees for outside alcohol. Kitchen use is permitted based on the nature of your event.

What are the costs for team building art sessions?

Art activity sessions cost £59.50 per person (excluding VAT). If you want alcoholic drinks included (beer and white wine), the price increases to £72.50 per person (excluding VAT). Sessions are charged per person with pricing adjustments for groups over 20 people.

What is the payment structure and booking process?

A 30% deposit is required to hold your date and secure the space. The remaining balance must be cleared 2 weeks before the event. You can book as soon as possible to organize tutor availability for art sessions.

What catering options are available and at what cost?

They can provide grazing platters with meats and cheeses at approximately £15 per person (excluding VAT). Food is not usually allowed in studios, but exceptions may be made depending on your event requirements.

What are the recommended session durations and timing options?

Art sessions are recommended to run for a minimum of 2-3 hours. They can accommodate various timing requests, such as 12pm-3pm or 2pm-5pm sessions, depending on availability and your specific needs.

Are there specific room requirements for different event types?

For proposal setups, they recommend spaces with 3-meter high ceilings and around 8 meters in length. The Project Space is suggested for intimate events, while the painting and drawing studio works for larger setups requiring more space.

What additional services can be arranged for events?

They can arrange art tutors for guided sessions and will introduce you to your tutor closer to the event date. Sessions can be customized based on your objectives like team bonding or communication, and they can adjust activities accordingly.
