What are the venue hire costs and what's included in the base price?

Venue hire ranges from £2,000-£3,150 excluding VAT depending on timing and duration. Standard hire from 5:30pm-11pm costs £2,400 excluding VAT, while extended hours (11:30am-11pm) cost £3,150 excluding VAT. The hire includes exclusive use of the Great Hall and Front Rooms, with access to the Courtyard for outdoor receptions.

What are the mandatory staff meal costs that must be added to every booking?

Hall staff meals are mandatory for up to 5 staff members on event day. Junior outmess costs £35 per person excluding VAT, while senior outmess costs £48-£50 per person excluding VAT. This applies to hall manager and cloakroom staff, plus any additional outmess required from your side.

What are the dining package options and pricing per person?

Three-course seated dinner with tea, coffee and petit fours costs £79-£81 per person excluding VAT. Christmas seated dinner packages range from £120-£150 per person excluding VAT and include festive menu, pre-dinner sparkling wine reception, half bottle of wine per person, and Christmas crackers. Day delegate rates for conferences start at £95-£102 per person excluding VAT.

What drinks packages are available and how much do they cost?

Standard drinks package (1.5 glasses prosecco, half bottle house wine per person, soft drinks and water) costs £36-£38 per person excluding VAT. Extended packages with 2-4.5 hours unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks range from £38-£48 per person excluding VAT. Christmas packages include mulled wine and festive cocktails.

What are the capacity limits for different event formats?

The Great Hall accommodates up to 150 guests for conferences in theatre style, 90-120 guests for seated dinners in cabaret style, and up to 200 guests for standing receptions. The Courtyard can accommodate 100 guests for BBQ packages with outdoor marquee and wet weather backup in the Great Hall.

Can I use external caterers or bring my own food and drink?

No, Saddlers Hall uses exclusive caterer Searcys and does not permit external caterers. All food and beverage must be provided through their in-house catering service. However, clients can bring their own suppliers for specific items like cheese and wine tastings with prior arrangement.

What AV equipment is available and what are the additional costs?

AV equipment is not kept on-site and must be outsourced to their recommended external supplier. Basic packages for conferences may include staging, PA system, and 65-inch screens with technician. Clients can use their own preferred AV supplier if they prefer, but all equipment must be brought in externally.

How long can I hold a provisional booking and what's required to confirm?

Provisional holds can be placed for 1 week maximum. Quotes are valid for 2 weeks from issue date. Bookings are confirmed only upon receiving a signed agreement and hall application, with standard terms and conditions applying.

What are the setup and access arrangements for events?

Standard venue hire includes access from 5:30pm for evening events, with earlier access from 4:30pm available for larger events requiring setup time. Extended day hire from 11:30am-11pm is available for £3,150 excluding VAT. Room hire for rehearsals the evening before events can be arranged for additional cost.

Are there any seasonal pricing differences or special packages?

Christmas packages are available from December with premium pricing of £120-£150 per person excluding VAT, including festive menus, Christmas crackers, themed table linen, and seasonal decorations. Summer BBQ packages for the Courtyard cost £110 per person excluding VAT and include Pimm's, Prosecco, and outdoor dining options.
