What are the minimum spend requirements for events at LIMIN Southbank?

Minimum spend varies by date and season, ranging from £2,000 to £20,000 (excluding VAT and service charge). July is the busiest month with higher minimums of £10,000-£20,000, while other periods may start from £2,000-£2,500. All minimum spends are subject to 15% service charge and VAT on top.

What capacity can the Events space accommodate?

The venue can accommodate up to 300 people across its flexible indoor and outdoor spaces. The Bougainvillea Gallery holds up to 150 people with a minimum spend of £12,500-£15,000. Full venue hire is available for larger events with higher minimum spends.

What food packages are available and how much do they cost?

Caribbean-themed canapés cost around £50 per person for 4-5 selections, including jerk chicken in coconut shells, mac & cheese, freetas, and mini doubles. Bowl food options (BBQ or curry bowls) are available at lower per-person rates. Set menus start at £65 per person including VAT, and buffet-style setups cost £60 per person with welcome drink and two courses.

What drinks packages are offered and what are the costs?

Classic Package (beer, wine, soft drinks): £45 for 2 hours or £60 for 3 hours per person. Premium Package (adds prosecco and spirits): £50 for 2 hours or £75 for 3 hours. Luxury Package (adds cocktails): £65 for 2 hours or £95 for 3 hours. All prices exclude VAT and venue charges.

Are there any mandatory additional charges beyond the minimum spend?

Yes, all minimum spends are subject to 15% service charge and 20% VAT on top of the quoted price. If ordering individually from the bar, VAT is included in drink prices, but bespoke catering packages are subject to additional VAT.

What entertainment and AV options are available?

DJ hire is available (around £480), plus Spotify/background music options. AV setup includes TV screens and microphones. Entertainment options include carnival hosts, glitter artists, karaoke, and burlesque performers for themed events. Fancy dress events are permitted.

What are the venue's operating hours and closure periods?

The venue is typically closed from January 11th and reopens January 16th annually. Events can run until 11:00pm-12:00am depending on arrangements. Access for setup is usually available from 4:00pm-5:00pm before guest arrival.

Can clients bring their own music or DJs?

Yes, clients can play their own Spotify playlists or bring external DJs. The venue also offers in-house DJ services and has background music/Spotify options available as alternatives.

What outdoor spaces are available and what activities are permitted?

The venue features a large outdoor terrace and private sandy beach area perfect for summer gatherings. The space has a retractable roof and windbreakers for year-round use. Low-key games and activities can be arranged, though specific restrictions on open fires or BBQs may apply.

There is some flexibility for repeat customers or specific circumstances. One example shows a minimum spend reduced from £2,500 to £2,000 for a returning client. However, peak periods like July maintain higher non-negotiable minimums of £10,000-£20,000.
