What is the capacity and seating arrangement for the Screenings space?

The Screenings space accommodates up to 100 people in a lecture layout with antique wooden chairs. The space is set up as a ground-floor lecture hall in a Grade II listed building with oak panelling and pine flooring.

What AV equipment is included for screenings and presentations?

The space includes a wireless WUXGA full HD plus projector, a screen wall measuring 1.98m wide, PA system with Wharfdale speakers, and full blackout capability for film screenings or PowerPoint presentations. A Boston Steinway upright piano is also available for hire.

Are there any content restrictions for exhibitions or events?

Yes, exhibitions need to be connected to Emanuel Swedenborg in terms of themes and his life. Events that don't meet this requirement will not be accepted for collaboration.

What additional services are included with the venue hire?

The venue includes on-site concierge support and complimentary wifi. The space is located within Swedenborg House at 20-21 Bloomsbury Way in central London.

Can I arrange a viewing before booking?

Yes, you can arrange a time to visit and view the hall. Contact Denise Prentice to schedule a viewing appointment during her office hours.

You need to provide the specific date and start/finish times of your event, details about your organisation, and the nature of your event. Hire rates depend on the duration and timing of your event.

Is the venue suitable for filming and photography?

The space can accommodate filming with its full blackout capability and AV equipment, though specific filming requests may be subject to approval. The Grade II listed building provides an elegant neoclassical setting with character features.
