What types of events does King's House Conference Centre accept for booking?

King's House Conference Centre only accepts business or educational conferences and exams. They do not accommodate other types of events such as social gatherings, product launches, or non-business related functions.

What are the standard operating hours and availability for bookings?

The venue operates Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm for standard bookings. Saturday bookings are possible but limited - they can take occasional Saturday events but are not set up for frequent weekend bookings. Sunday hire is not available.

Events extending beyond 17:30 incur an additional charge of £185 +VAT per hour. Saturday bookings include an out-of-office surcharge of £26 +VAT per hour applied to the entire booking duration.

Rooms are placed on hold when a proposal is sent, but clients must respond within specified deadlines to maintain the hold. The venue regularly follows up for updates and will set firm deadlines (typically giving several days notice) before releasing rooms to other clients if no response is received.

Standard AV includes flip charts with paper and pens, laser projectors with screens, and PA systems with microphones. Additional options include 65" LED repeater screens (£185-£190 +VAT per pair), video recording services (£320-£360 +VAT), and hybrid meeting capabilities available on request.

What catering packages are offered and at what cost?

The venue offers an all-day tea, coffee and biscuits package at £8 +VAT per head. Day Delegate Rates (DDR) are available starting from around £38-£39 +VAT per delegate with minimum attendee requirements.
