What is the venue hire cost for exclusive use of Kent House Knightsbridge?

Exclusive venue hire is £4,500 + VAT for the entire venue. This is a dry hire fee only and does not include catering, DJ, lighting, or other services. You cannot hire individual rooms - the venue operates on exclusive hire only, giving you complete privacy and access to all spaces including the Marble Hall, Rutland Room, North Sanctuary, and Library.

What are the capacity limits for different event formats?

The venue accommodates 60-150 guests depending on the event format. For large numbers requiring stand-up format only, the venue can handle higher capacities. Theatre-style seating is available in spaces like the Rutland Room (suitable for 30 people) and North Sanctuary, while the Marble Hall works well for drinks receptions and guest registration.

What catering options are available and do you have in-house catering?

Kent House does not provide internal catering but recommends preferred partners including Hibiscus Food (https://www.hibiscusfood.co.uk/) and Melanie's Catering (https://www.melaniescatering.com/). Alternatively, you are welcome to bring in your own external catering. The venue does not operate cash bars - all bar services must be arranged through your chosen caterer.

What AV equipment and technical facilities are included in the hire?

The venue includes in-house AV equipment such as screens, projectors, PA system, microphones for speeches, and lecterns. The cost for venue hire including AV, tea & coffee and light refreshments for corporate events is £1,250 for single room hire. Background music systems are available, and the spaces can accommodate staging for presentations or entertainment.

What are the standard hire hours and extension costs?

Standard dry hire is priced for a 10-hour period. Wedding dry hire is £14,500 + VAT for 10 hours. Corporate venue hire with AV and refreshments starts at £1,250 for day events. Filming and smaller room hire (like the North Sanctuary) costs £250 if finishing before 5pm.

What spaces are included in the exclusive hire and their best uses?

Exclusive hire includes the Marble Hall (ideal for drinks receptions with polished black and white marble flooring), Rutland Room (perfect for 30 people theatre-style with AV capabilities), North Sanctuary (quiet space with blank walls, good for presentations), and Library (more intimate dining space). All spaces feature high ceilings, and the venue offers terraces and multiple event areas.

What are the booking and payment procedures?

Bookings require a signed booking form and payment can be made via provided Stripe payment links. A fully refundable damage deposit of £1,000 is required. The venue offers complimentary site visits and tastings with their event planner to discuss requirements over tea or coffee.

Are there any restrictions on event types or timing?

The venue may have limited morning availability on certain dates. Some events are declined due to budget constraints - the venue typically requires higher budgets for exclusive hire. The venue is fully accessible with entrance ramps, lift, and dedicated wheelchair access bathroom, and is free from listed building restrictions allowing full customization.
