Screen 3 has a 2-hour minimum hire requirement with pricing that varies by timing. Daytime screenings cost £700 plus VAT for 2 hours, while evening rates are £550 per hour plus VAT. The space accommodates up to 59 guests and includes 2 wheelchair accessible spots.

What technical equipment is included with the Film and Photo space hire?

The space includes a cinema screen with digital projector, PA system with microphone capability, adjustable lighting with blackout options, and step-free access. Additional technical support from a technician costs £125-£280 plus VAT depending on the duration and requirements.

Can I bring external catering and what are the restrictions?

External caterers are permitted but Rich Mix charges a 10% corkage fee on all external catering. The venue does not have a usable kitchen for caterers to prepare food on-site, so all food must be prepared off-site and delivered ready to serve.

What are the building operating hours and access restrictions?

Rich Mix operates from 9am-9pm daily. All events must conclude by 11:30pm maximum, and the venue is closed by then. Access for setup and breakdown must be arranged within these operating hours.

Are there any restrictions on decorations or modifications to the space?

External decorations are allowed in the Film and Photo space. The space is designed as a blank canvas with high ceilings and minimalist aesthetic, making it suitable for various styling needs for filming and photography projects.

What deposit and damage policies apply to bookings?

A £400 refundable damage deposit is required for dry hire spaces like Streetside. This deposit is separate from the venue hire cost and is refunded after the event provided no damage occurs to the venue or equipment.

Can Rich Mix accommodate filming and photography with special lighting needs?

Yes, the Film and Photo space features adjustable lighting with blackout options, high ceilings, and natural light capabilities. The minimalist aesthetic provides a perfect blank canvas for fashion editorials, commercial shoots, music videos, and indie films with onsite support available.

What are the booking hold periods and confirmation requirements?

Rich Mix typically holds provisional bookings for a limited time before requiring confirmation. If they don't hear back from clients by a specified deadline (such as Friday 23rd May in examples), they release the date from their diary to make it available for other bookings.

Are there any discounts available for charity or community events?

Rich Mix offers a 20% discount to registered charities, but you must provide a registered charity number to qualify. The venue does not allow discounts to be made through third-party booking platforms like Hire Space.

What bar and refreshment options are available during events?

Rich Mix has an in-built bar and offers drinks tokens at £5 plus VAT each for house wine, beer, or soft drinks. They also provide refreshment stations at £3.50 plus VAT per person per service, including filtered coffee, teas, and infused water. Bar staff can be included in some packages or hired separately.
