Venue hire ranges from £2,250-£6,750+VAT per day for single-day hire. The Annex costs £2,750+VAT (10am-midnight) for 1,500 sq ft of day-lit space. Arch 1 & 2 combined hire is available at higher rates, with the full venue (all 3 spaces) costing £6,750+VAT plus mandatory cleaning and staff fees bringing the total to £8,100+VAT.

What are the mandatory additional costs beyond venue hire?

All bookings require mandatory cleaning fees (£400+VAT for three spaces) and security staffing. External caterers or bar operators incur additional fees depending on service level required. Post-hire cleaning and waste collection using 1100ltr bins (£210+VAT) are standard requirements.

How does the booking and payment process work?

Kachette operates a no-obligation pencil system where your date can be challenged by other parties depending on booking length and nature. To secure your date, you need a 50% deposit and signed contract, with the remaining balance due 1 month before your event.

What are the capacity and layout options for each space?

The venue has 3 interconnected spaces: 2 large railway arches (Arch 1 & 2) and the Annex (1,500 sq ft day-lit reception space with natural light). Spaces can be hired individually or combined, with the Annex recommended for 40 guests and larger combinations suitable for 100-450 guests depending on layout.

Can I use my own suppliers or must I use venue-approved ones?

Kachette operates on a dry-hire basis allowing your own suppliers, but charges fees for external caterers or bar operators depending on service level. They also offer preferred suppliers through their website, with packaged options available including Cater London for F&B/furniture and KSS for AV requirements.

What's included in the basic venue hire?

Basic hire includes duty venue manager, AC and power in all rooms, 100Mbps dedicated fibre internet service, PA system, fixed bar structure, accessible bathroom facilities, cloakroom rails and hangers, and allocated outdoor smoking area under Old Street billboards.

What are the setup and access times?

Standard hire runs 10am-midnight for the Annex. Extended access is available with events typically requiring 8am setup for 12pm start times. Multi-day events and longer access periods are accommodated, with build and de-rig time factored into quotes.

Are there any restrictions on event types or timing?

The venue hosts various events including fashion shows, corporate parties, conferences, and product launches. Some dates may have restrictions due to festivals (like SxSW in early June) or existing bookings. The venue can accommodate events until 1-2am with appropriate licensing.

What AV and technical capabilities are available?

The venue includes basic PA systems and has catenary wire for hanging props/images, white wall backdrop for projections, industrial lighting truss, and 3-phase power. Full AV packages including screens, microphones, and conference setups are available through preferred supplier KSS, with costs varying by requirements.

Is there flexibility on pricing for charities or long-term hires?

The venue offers charity rates and pricing flexibility for special circumstances. Long-term hires have different rates than standard daily hire (standard rates don't apply to extended bookings). Pricing flexibility may be available for close-proximity dates depending on circumstances.
