What is the maximum capacity for different event layouts in the State Rooms & Terrace?
The combined State Rooms can accommodate up to 230 guests with multiple layout options. For standing receptions, the space can handle larger numbers with access to the rooftop terrace. The rooms can be used separately or combined depending on your event requirements and guest count.
Is an AV technician mandatory and what does it cost?
Yes, one audio-visual technician is required and costs £525 + VAT for daytime events or £400 + VAT for evening events. The technician operates the built-in equipment including projector, screen, PA system with lapel and handheld microphones, and provides technical support throughout your event.
How far in advance must contracts be signed for confirmed bookings?
For events with short notice (such as next week), contracts must be signed by 12:00 the following day to allow sufficient planning time. Additionally, full payment is required prior to the event for short-notice bookings. Standard advance bookings have more flexible contract timelines.
What are the different booking option levels and how do they work?
Venues offer first option (exclusive hold), second option (backup position), or joint first option (shared hold with another client). If you want to secure a date, you need to request a hold on your preferred option level. Spaces are released if no response is received within the specified timeframe.
What catering packages are available and what are the minimum spends?
Reception packages start at £99 + VAT per person including 3 hours unlimited drinks, 3 canapés and 3 bowl food items. Day Delegate Rates (DDR) start at £85-£106.80 + VAT per person including room hire, meals and refreshments. Wedding packages include exclusive hire, welcome drinks, canapés, bowl foods and various service elements. Minimum spends vary by time period and space configuration.
Are there restrictions on external suppliers and what charges apply?
External suppliers can be hired directly by clients, but if contracted through the venue, a 20% service charge applies. For example, DJ services from their preferred supplier Spiral Entertainment can be arranged either way. All external suppliers must comply with the venue's policies and requirements.
What are the exact operating hours and setup times available?
Day period operates 8:00-17:00, evening period 18:00-23:00. Cross-period bookings cover any timing that spans both periods, including the 17:00-18:00 turnaround time. Setup access may be available earlier depending on the event requirements and venue availability.

What payment terms apply and when is full payment required?
For short-notice events (within a week), full payment is required prior to the event. Standard bookings follow different payment schedules. All prices are quoted excluding VAT, and minimum spend requirements must be met through food and beverage purchases from the venue.
