What is the maximum capacity for the Business space and what are the different layout options?

The Business space can accommodate 300-350 people seated or up to 300 people standing. The Black Studio within the Business space can seat up to 170 people conference style or up to 300 people standing, making it suitable for various event formats from intimate showcases to large-scale presentations.

What are the hire fees and what's included in the base price?

Hire fees start at £2,000 + VAT per day (8am-6pm) for the main spaces, with the Black Studio costing £3,500 + VAT and the Warehouse at £2,500 + VAT. The Onyx Bar is available for £1,500 + VAT including all staff and security. All spaces include in-house sound systems, lighting, LED screens, and wired microphones.

What audio-visual equipment is included and what are the technical capabilities?

All spaces include custom Funktion1 sound systems, LED screens throughout, professional lighting, and wired microphones. The Black Studio has its own sound system, lighting, LED screen, and wired mic included in the hire. The venue offers advanced in-house audio-visual facilities and has a dedicated in-house production team to support events.

Do you provide catering services and what are the food and beverage options?

Studio Spaces does not provide in-house catering but allows external caterers. They work with catering partners like Pique for light nibbles and refreshments. The venue has a full bar service with an alcohol license, and drinks tokens for beer/wine/soft drinks are available at £8.50 inc VAT each.

What are the operating hours and access times for events?

The standard day hire runs from 8am-6pm, but extended hours are available. Events can run into the evening and overnight access is possible for multi-day events. Setup access can be arranged the evening before events for AV testing and preparation.

Do you provide furniture and what additional equipment can be hired?

The venue does not have chairs in-house - these need to be hired externally through suppliers like yahire.com. They can provide a small stage for speakers and have a working cloakroom available. Tables and other furniture requirements need to be arranged separately through external hire companies.

Studio Spaces is located at Unit 2, 110 Pennington Street, E1W 2BB in the St Katherine's Dock area of East London. The venue is situated on a traditional cobbled street, close to Tobacco Dock and minutes from Wapping, Tower Hill and Shadwell stations, making it easily accessible by public transport.

Are there any restrictions on event types or special requirements?

The venue does not have outside space available for events. They welcome external caterers and have sound proofing throughout the spaces. The venue is suitable for a diverse range of events including conferences, product launches, networking events, and corporate functions, with three interconnected spaces providing flexible event flow.

What is the booking process and payment requirements?

Initial enquiries should be sent to events@studio-spaces.com with event details including dates, times, guest numbers, and requirements. The venue offers site visits and recces to view the spaces. Quotes are provided based on specific event requirements and availability is confirmed directly with the events team.

The venue offers charity rates for qualifying charitable events. Different spaces have varying price points, with the Onyx Bar being the most cost-effective option at £1,500 + VAT including staff and security. Pricing may vary based on event duration, requirements, and specific dates.
