Frequently asked questions

The Fairclough Suite and Houghton Suite are £300 each, while the Derby Suite is £500. The Alexandra Suite (largest space) is £12,000 for events like fashion shows, with smaller suites like Stanley Suite available at £500 for half-day meetings. All rates are exclusive of VAT.

Full Day DDR is £48 per person and includes main meeting room from 8am-5:30pm, 3 refreshment breaks with snacks, networking buffet lunch, standard LCD projector and screen, flipchart, jugs of iced water, conference sweets, stationery, and free WiFi. Half Day DDR is £39 per person with the same inclusions but only 1 serving of tea and coffee.

The Alexandra Suite can accommodate: Theatre 700, Boardroom 120, Cabaret 400 (tables of 10), 300 (tables of 8), 200 (tables of 6), Classroom 350 (3 per table) or 200 (2 per table), Banqueting 500 (rounds), 450 (with stage), 400 (with stage and dancefloor), U-shape 100, and Standing 700.

Standard LCD projector and screen are included in DDR packages. Additional AV equipment like 7ft LCD screen with projector costs £150, and speaker PA system with 2 microphones is £375. All other AV requirements are handled by Sterling Event Group at additional cost - contact required for specific pricing.

Tea and coffee with biscuits is £4.50 per person per serving. Lunch options include sandwich platters at £16 per person or Working Lunch Buffet at £21 per person. The Afternoon Tea Package requires minimum 20 people at £52 per person (£1,040 total for 20 guests) and includes arrival drink, traditional afternoon tea, scones, cakes, and room hire.

External catering is only permitted on Sundays. The hotel does not allow use of public areas for events as this affects other guests' experience, and they cannot guarantee availability of public spaces. All events must use designated bookable meeting spaces only.

Events are typically held on 'joint first option' for 2 weeks while decisions are made. For events approaching within 2 weeks, responses may be required by specific deadlines (such as 3pm same day). The venue requires confirmation of guest numbers, timing, food and beverage requirements, and any accommodation needs.
