What is the hire fee for using the performance space at Battersea Barge?
Our standard hire fee is £185 hire fee + £200 authentication deposit towards access to the PA & t's & c's. We may be able to waive the hire fees on Sunday-Wednesdays & off peak Thursdays depending on your numbers.
What is the capacity for the performance space at Battersea Barge?
The Lower Deck has a maximum capacity of approximately 120-140 standing guests, 100 seating in a cinema arrangement, or 45 for a cabaret-style setup.
What are the payment requirements for booking the performance space?
To confirm a booking, you must pay the hire fee in full. A £200 authentication deposit is required for access to the PA system, which isn't claimed unless specified conditions are breached.
What is the policy on music and DJs for events in the performance space?
You may bring your own DJ, or use a DJ recommended by the venue for £285. Alternatively, you can use an iPod or laptop for music, which should be in keeping with the boat's vibe - easy-listening, fun, and upbeat.
Are there any restrictions on event timings or music volume at Battersea Barge?
Events must respect local noise restrictions as the venue is in a residential area. Music should maintain a vibe consistent with the venue’s easy-listening atmosphere and must end by the venue's operational hours.
Can food and drink be arranged in advance for an event?
Yes, you can pre-order food and drinks up to two weeks in advance, or purchase them directly from the bar until 10pm on the event night.
Is there a corkage fee for bringing outside food to Battersea Barge?
The venue does not permit outside drinks, and any external food would require payment of a food corkage fee as per agreement with venue management.
