What is the minimum budget required for events at CodeNode?

CodeNode requires a minimum budget of £1,000 for events. Events with budgets below this threshold will not be accommodated, as indicated when a 40-person event with a £1,000 budget was declined as unsuitable.

What are the room hire rates and capacity for the Alt/Tab Room?

The Alt/Tab Room accommodates up to 96 people in cabaret layout and costs £5,000 + VAT per day for 9am to 6pm hire. This rate includes basic AV equipment. The room can also accommodate 150 people in theatre style for £2,000 + VAT.

What are the rates for exclusive venue hire and what's included?

Exclusive venue hire costs £20,000 + VAT and includes access from 08:00-17:00, six modern event spaces, reception area, private networking and catering area, reliable WiFi, comprehensive AV package in the main CTRL room, furniture, games tables, fully licensed SpaceBar, and water coolers throughout. The main CTRL room alone costs £12,000 + VAT, with the ESCape Breakout Area at £5,000 + VAT.

What AV equipment and technical support is included in venue hire?

The main CTRL room includes 3m x 5m projection screens, stage with lighting, PA system with 8 microphones, loudspeakers, uplighters, comfort monitors, repeater screens, and in-room technicians. Additional AV packages are available: Audio Production at £4,000 + VAT per day, and Breakout Room Audio Package at £750 + VAT per room per day.

What are the catering options and pricing?

CodeNode recommends Easy Gourmet for catering, with Day Delegate Rates (DDR) starting from £32 + VAT per person for basic packages, up to £59.99 + VAT for comprehensive packages including breakfast, lunch, tea breaks, and equipment. Drinks packages are available at £20-30 + VAT per person for 1-2 hours, and canape packages at £29.50 + VAT per person (minimum 100 people).

What are the capacity limits for different room layouts?

The Alt/Tab Room holds up to 96 people in cabaret layout or 150 in theatre style. The main CTRL room can accommodate larger groups, with exclusive venue hire suitable for events up to 400-500 people depending on layout requirements. The BACKSPACE room accommodates up to 80 people in theatre setup but is only available as part of full venue hire.

What are the standard operating hours and additional access fees?

Standard venue access is 08:00-17:00 (9am-6pm for individual rooms). Early access from 07:00-08:00 costs £1,000 + VAT, and evening derig from 17:00-18:00 is typically £1,000 + VAT (though sometimes waived with drinks packages). Setup access the evening before events is available for AV testing and exhibitor setup.

Are there restrictions on event types or specific requirements?

CodeNode specializes in technology-focused events including conferences, seminars, exhibitions, presentations, E-Sports, and Hackathons. The venue has a large loading bay area and goods lift for easy delivery of event materials, banners, booths, and installations. All spaces include whiteboards and power sockets throughout.

What additional services and amenities are available on-site?

The venue includes 2 ping pong tables, foosball table, and a fully licensed SpaceBar managed by CodeNode staff. There's a ceiling-mounted screen and projector in the ESCape breakout area with LED uplighters, and the Fn room can be used for catering preparation while Capslock can serve as a cloakroom.

How does the booking process work and what are the payment terms?

Initial enquiries are handled by the venue sales team who provide quotes based on specific requirements. Site visits can be arranged for interested clients. The venue offers 3D virtual tours online, and the sales team works directly with clients to customize packages based on event needs and budget requirements.
