What are the room hire costs for the Compass Room and what's included?

The Compass Room costs £1,400 for evening hire (18:00-00:30) or day hire (12:00-18:00). The room includes floor-to-ceiling windows with 360-degree views, private balcony, private bathrooms, bar area, and furniture. Basic AV equipment is included in room hire costs.

What are the minimum and maximum capacity requirements for events?

The Compass Room has a minimum booking requirement of 80 people and maximum capacity of 180 for dinner (reduced to 160 if space for dancing is required). The venue cannot accommodate events below 80 guests in this space.

What are the catering costs and minimum requirements?

Hot fork buffet starts from £16.75 per person (£12.00 for children), 3-course meals from £34.00 per person (£15.00 for children). A minimum of 80 people for catering is required for the Compass Room, and a minimum buffet is mandatory for evening events.

Can I bring my own caterer or use external catering?

External catering is only permitted for religious purposes. If approved, there's a separate dry hire package costing £4,500, which includes dry hire of the Compass Room and kitchen with furniture provided.

What is the booking process and when is the deposit due?

The venue sends a booking contract that must be signed on pages 3 and 12. Once the signed contract is returned, a deposit invoice for room hire only is sent. The booking is not confirmed until the signed contract is received.

How does the venue handle date holds and booking priority?

The venue operates on a "joint first option" basis when multiple clients are interested in the same date. This means dates are held for interested parties, but it becomes first-come-first-serve once multiple enquiries are received for the same date.

What drinks and canapé options are available with pricing?

Prosecco costs £36.00 per bottle, wine from £24.00 per bottle, bottled beer £6.00 per bottle, and elderflower presse/juices £4.50 per litre. Canapés are available at £14.00 per person, and tea/coffee costs £2.25 per person.

Are there any dietary accommodations available?

The venue confirms that their chicken is certified halal. They have finger buffet options available and can accommodate various dietary requirements, though specific details would need to be discussed during event planning.

What happens after I sign the contract and how do I communicate with the venue?

After signing the contract, the venue prefers direct email communication rather than through the Hirespace platform, as the platform blocks additional email addresses. You'll be connected with their event planning team to discuss specific event details and requirements.

What are the different room options available for smaller events?

For smaller groups, the Hexagon Room costs £850 plus VAT and offers contemporary space with LCD projector, screen, and PA system. However, it may exceed budget for smaller events, and the Compass Room has an 80-person minimum requirement.
