What is the pricing structure for Beveridge Hall dining events and what's included?

Beveridge Hall operates on a Day Delegate Rate (DDR) system starting at £85.00 + VAT per person for full-day events. This includes venue hire from 08:00-18:00, standard AV package (lectern, laptop, screen, projector, PA system, 3 microphones), dedicated hospitality space, breakfast/arrival refreshments, mid-morning refreshments, lunch selection, mid-afternoon refreshments with cake, venue staffing, utilities, furniture setup, free Wi-Fi, and dedicated event and hospitality managers. Additional evening hire and weekend charges apply for events outside standard hours.

What are the capacity limits and seating arrangements for dining events?

Beveridge Hall accommodates up to 160 guests in cabaret layout with 20 round tables seating 8 people each, which is ideal for gala dinners and banquets. The venue can also accommodate smaller groups with flexible table arrangements. The complimentary Crush Hall serves as a pre-drinks reception area and registration space for arrivals.

What catering options are available and can I bring external caterers?

University of London Venues partners with Gather and Gather (3-star Sustainable Restaurant Association rated) for all catering services. Menu options include continental/hot breakfast, simple hot or cold fork buffets, sharing platters, street food, gathered table pop-ups, and bowl food lunch selections. The venue offers vegetarian, vegan, Halal, gluten-free, and Kosher dining options. External caterers are not permitted as catering is provided exclusively through their in-house partnership.

What are the standard operating hours and restrictions for evening events?

Standard venue hire operates from 08:00-18:00, with additional charges applying for evening events and weekend bookings. The venue can accommodate evening gala dinners and parties, but specific timing restrictions and additional fees will apply. Setup time is included within the hire period, and events requiring access before 08:00 are not accommodated.

What AV equipment is included and what additional options are available?

Standard AV package includes lectern, laptop, screen, projector, PA system, 3 microphones, and AV technician assistance during setup. For additional AV requirements beyond the standard package, clients must contact ConferenceCast/Torpedo, the approved UoL AV provider. The venue features built-in AV, PA system, LCD projector, screen, staging, and three-phase power for more complex setups.

What is the booking process and what forms are required?

All bookings require completion of an events application form and due diligence form for review and approval before confirmation. These forms must be submitted to be assigned a dedicated event manager. The venue can hold dates provisionally while forms are being processed, and bookings are subject to approval before final confirmation.

Are there any restrictions on event types or activities in the dining space?

Beveridge Hall is specifically designed for gala dinners, banquets, fine dining events, and similar formal occasions. The venue accommodates award ceremonies, corporate parties, charity dinners, and ticketed events. Specific restrictions on decorations, entertainment, or other activities would need to be discussed during the booking process as part of the due diligence review.

What additional services and amenities are provided?

The venue provides dedicated event and hospitality managers, venue staffing, utilities, furniture setup, free Wi-Fi, and access to the complimentary Crush Hall for pre-drinks receptions. The space features staging capabilities and three-phase power for enhanced lighting or entertainment setups. All events include professional setup and breakdown services as part of the hire fee.
