Quays Theatre at Lowry

Room hire varies by space: Compass Room £1,400 for evening hire (18:00-00:30) or day hire (12:00-18:00), Pier Eight Room £995+VAT for full day hire (08:00-18:00), Hexagon Room £850+VAT for full day hire, North Room £195+VAT (reduced from £295+VAT), and South Room £395+VAT. Day delegate rates start from £45.50+VAT per person with a minimum of 50 delegates.

Compass Room has a minimum booking of 80 people and maximum of 150-180 depending on layout (160 if dancing space required). Pier Eight Room accommodates up to 120 in theatre style or 64-80 in cabaret. North and South Rooms hold up to 14 in boardroom layout. The venue's maximum overall capacity is 240 people.

Compass Room requires a minimum of 80 people for catering. Hot fork buffet starts from £16.75+VAT per person, 3-course meals from £30-34 per person. Tea/coffee with pastries costs £5.25+VAT per person, tea/coffee with biscuits £3.25+VAT per person, and tea/coffee only £2.25+VAT per person. Evening events in Compass Room require a minimum buffet.

After agreeing to proceed, Lowry sends a booking contract that must be signed on pages 3 and 12. Once the signed contract is returned, they send a deposit invoice for room hire only. The booking is not confirmed until the signed contract is received.

External catering is only allowed for religious purposes. If this applies, a separate dry hire package is available for £4,500 for the Compass Room and kitchen, which includes furniture. For all other events, you must use Lowry's in-house catering services.

Pier Eight Room includes LCD projector (projects onto white wall), PA system, and WiFi. North and South Rooms come equipped with built-in screen and projector and/or plasma screens. Basic AV package (LCD projectors, PA system, WiFi) is included in the day delegate rate.

Lowry operates on a 'joint first option' basis where multiple clients can hold the same date. When another client expresses interest, it becomes first-come-first-serve. Dates are put on hold but not confirmed until a signed contract is returned.

For conferences needing multiple spaces, you can combine Pier Eight Room (main presentations for up to 120 theatre style) with North and South Rooms (14 people each in boardroom layout) for breakout sessions. Pier Eight includes a foyer area ideal for registration and refreshments.

North and South Rooms have no natural daylight. Compass Room numbers reduce to 160 if dancing space is required. The venue cannot accommodate 250+ in cabaret style. Christmas parties must include catering packages - venue hire only is not available for Christmas events.

A deposit invoice for room hire only is sent after the signed contract is returned. Final catering requirements and event details are discussed closer to the event date. Minimum catering numbers must be specified on the contract (e.g., 80 for Compass Room).
