What are the capacity limits for different event layouts?

Icetank can accommodate up to 120 guests for standing receptions, 50 guests for seated meals, and 30 guests in cabaret layout. The venue operates on exclusive hire only, meaning you have the entire space to yourself.

What are the strict timing restrictions I need to know about?

All loud music must stop by 10:45pm with a strict 11pm curfew for guest departure. For events where most guests are under 21, everyone must leave by 8pm. The venue provides on-the-door security to enforce these curfews.

What's included in the venue hire price?

The hire includes exclusive use of both floors, professional AV/PA system, built-in projector, 82-inch TV, customizable RGB lighting throughout (including illuminated poseur tables), integrated sound system, DJ equipment (excluding decks), venue technician, security personnel for evening events, and all listed furniture. Post-hire cleaning is also included.

How does the booking and payment process work?

Icetank operates on a first-come, first-served basis and does not hold dates. To secure your booking, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required, with the remaining balance due 5 weeks prior to the event date.

What are the access hours and how does pricing work?

Access is available from 6am to midnight, with pricing based on total duration including setup and de-rigging time. The venue offers 11-hour full-day hire or 5-hour half-day hire, but the 5-hour slot must be taken as morning or afternoon sessions, not mid-day.

Can I bring my own caterers and what are the kitchen facilities?

You can bring your own caterers, but there's a non-preferred supplier fee. The venue has two kitchens: a demo kitchen on the ground floor (perfect as a bar setting) and a catering kitchen on the lower ground floor. They also work with preferred suppliers who know the venue well.

What are the alcohol licensing restrictions?

Icetank does not have an alcohol license, so they cannot operate a cash bar. All drinks must be pre-paid in advance - you cannot flip from open bar to cash bar during your event.

What branding and customization options are available?

The venue is extremely flexible for branding - you can add signage, decorations, or wall branding to suit your brief. The large shopfront windows can be vinyled for custom branding, and they have a trusted supplier (KGK Genix) who can assist with this.

Are there age restrictions for private events?

Yes, Icetank has a strict policy of no under-21s for private events. If most guests are under 21, everyone must depart by 8pm instead of the usual 11pm curfew.

What DJ and music equipment is provided?

The venue includes a built-in sound system, DJ booth or table, and all DJ equipment except decks. DJs only need to bring their own decks or laptops, and can perform from the mezzanine overlooking the space or use the provided DJ table.
