What are the capacity limits for different event layouts?

Icetank can accommodate up to 120 guests for standing receptions, 50 guests for seated meals or theatre-style layouts, and 30 guests for cabaret-style seating. The venue operates on an exclusive hire basis, meaning you have the entire space to yourself.

What are the pricing structures and how do costs vary?

Venue hire prices depend on access times required, including setup and breakdown periods. Weekend bookings are 20% cheaper than weekdays. All quotes are bespoke based on your specific requirements and event duration, with a minimum 5-hour hire period that cannot be scheduled mid-day.

What are the strict timing restrictions and curfews?

There is a strict 11pm curfew for loud music to stop and all guests must depart by 11pm. All staff and suppliers must vacate by midnight. For events where most guests are under 21, everyone must leave by 8pm. Access can be arranged from as early as 6am to as late as midnight finish.

What is included in the venue hire and what costs extra?

The hire includes exclusive venue use, professional AV/PA system, built-in projector, 82-inch TV, customizable RGB lighting, sound system, DJ equipment (excluding decks), venue technician, security personnel (for evening events), and post-hire cleaning. Catering, additional furniture, and non-preferred suppliers incur extra costs.

What are the booking and payment requirements?

Icetank operates on a first-come, first-served basis and does not hold dates. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due 5 weeks prior to the event date.

Are there age restrictions for private events?

Yes, there is a strict policy of no under-21s for private events. For events where most guests are under 21, all attendees must depart by 8pm with on-the-door security provided to manage this.

What catering options are available and what are the alcohol licensing restrictions?

Icetank does not have an alcohol license, so all drinks must be pre-paid in advance - no cash bar operations are permitted. You can use their preferred catering suppliers or bring your own caterers (with a non-preferred supplier fee). The venue has two kitchens: a test kitchen on the ground floor and a catering kitchen on the lower ground floor.

What Christmas party packages are offered and what do they include?

Christmas packages for 50 guests cost £255+VAT per person and include exclusive venue use from 6:30pm-11pm, complimentary cocktail on arrival, 3-course seated meal, 3-hour open bar (beer, house wine, soft drinks), DJ in separate disco room, RGB lighting, winter wonderland decorations, dedicated event team, door security, and fireplace. Packages cannot be extended late but can start earlier for additional cost.

What branding and customization options are available?

The venue is extremely flexible for branding - large shopfront windows can be vinyled with custom graphics, and you can add signage, decorations, or wall branding throughout the space. They work with KGK Genix for branding services and can assist with transforming the venue to any theme, or you can keep it minimal with their contemporary white interior.

What AV and technical equipment is provided?

All events include HD projector, microphone (cheek or handheld), PA sound system with built-in speakers, 12 RGB uplights (ground floor), 16 RGB LED spotlights (lower ground floor), 10 movable warm white PARR-Cans, DJ equipment (excluding decks), 82-inch 4K Smart TV, 55-inch external-facing TV for branding, and high-speed Wi-Fi (320 Mbps download/260 Mbps upload). A venue technician is provided throughout your event.
