What is the minimum guest requirement for booking the Business space at Ravens Ait Island?

The venue requires a minimum of 45 guests for any event booking at Ravens Ait Island due to the size of the rooms. Events with fewer than 45 guests cannot be accommodated.

What does the Day Delegate Rate (DDR) package include and how much does it cost?

The DDR package costs £75 per guest and includes the Thames Suite & Patio for 9 hours, Reception as breakout space, finger food (DDR Menu 1), projector screen with 1 flip chart and water, plus tea & coffee served 3 times daily with pastries, biscuits and cakes. An upgrade to DDR Menu 2 is available for an additional £15 per person.

How does ferry transport to the island work and what are the costs?

Ferry collection and drop-off is complimentary for all events. The venue operates a shuttle-style service with 2 boats running back and forth continuously, taking only 30-45 seconds to reach the island with no waiting time for guests. A larger 50-seater boat is available for 1 hour on arrival (subject to availability).

What are the venue's operating hours and music restrictions?

Music is allowed until 11:45PM and all guests must vacate the island by midnight. The venue cannot organize coach or shuttle services between hotels and the island, so guests must arrange their own transport to the ferry departure point.

What deposit is required and when must it be paid?

A 50% deposit is required to secure the date if the event is within 6 months. All dates are secured on a first-come, first-served basis, and the venue cannot hold dates during the consultation period.

What bar services and discounts are available?

The venue offers a 10% discount on all pre-ordered drinks. Bar packages can be arranged as either a bar tab or pre-order system, with typical minimum spends ranging from £1,200-£1,800 depending on group size.

What AV equipment and room setup options are included?

The Thames Suite includes a projector screen, 1 flip chart, stationery, and water as standard. The room can accommodate up to 80 people and features natural daylight from floor-to-ceiling windows, plus access to a terrace that can serve as a breakout area.

Can external suppliers and decorations be brought to the venue?

Yes, outside DJs, decor, and vendors are allowed at the venue. However, the venue has strict policies on outside drinks - typically no external alcohol is permitted, though management may approve limited external wine (up to 10 bottles) for a £100 corkage fee in exceptional circumstances.

What accommodation options are available nearby?

The venue recommends Hampton Suites, Warren House Hotel, and Crowne Plaza Surbiton for accommodation. Guests must arrange their own accommodation as the island venue does not provide overnight stays, and transport between hotels and the ferry point must be organized separately.

Is the venue exclusively yours during your event?

Yes, the island will be exclusively for your event with no other events happening simultaneously. The venue provides in-house staff led by an Operations Manager for assistance throughout your event, and a detailed Function Sheet captures all event requirements.
