What is the minimum guest requirement and what packages are available?

Ravens Ait Island requires a minimum of 45 guests for all events. Package pricing varies by event type: DDR (Day Delegate Rate) packages start from £75 per person for corporate events, Party packages from £70-£120 per person depending on menu selection, and Wedding packages are available with various catering options. All packages include venue hire, catering, welcome drinks, and complimentary ferry transfers.

How does transportation to the island work and what are the logistics?

The island is only accessible by boat, with complimentary ferry collection and drop-off included in all packages. Ravens Ait operates two 11-seater boats that run shuttle-style service throughout events, plus can arrange a 50-80 seater boat for guest arrival (subject to availability). The ferry journey takes 30-45 seconds, and there's no waiting time as boats run continuously back and forth.

What are the music and event end time restrictions?

Music is allowed until 11:45 PM, and all guests must vacate the island by midnight. Outside DJs, bands, and entertainment are permitted. These timing restrictions apply to all events regardless of type or size.

What deposit is required and when must it be paid?

A 50% deposit is required to secure any date if the event is within 6 months. All dates are secured on a first-come, first-served basis, and Ravens Ait cannot hold dates during the consultation period without a confirmed booking.

What catering options are available and can outside caterers be used?

Ravens Ait offers various in-house catering menus including BBQ buffets, Indian buffets, finger food, and 3-course meals ranging from Classic to Platinum options. Outside caterers and vendors are allowed. The venue also offers a 10% discount on all pre-ordered drinks and has full bar facilities available.

What are the different event spaces and their capacities?

The Thames Suite accommodates up to 80 people on round tables or 20 in boardroom style, and can connect with the reception area for standing events up to 150 people. The Marquee & Lawns space is used for larger events up to 200+ guests. Additional breakout spaces include the Patio, Britannia Room, and Terrace areas.

What audio-visual equipment and setup is included?

Corporate packages include projector and screen, flip charts, stationery, and water stations. The Thames Suite features floor-to-ceiling windows providing natural daylight and can be configured with bi-fold doors for flexible space management. Additional AV equipment can be arranged as needed.

Are there parking facilities and what about guest arrival logistics?

Parking information is available in a separate document provided by the venue. For high-profile events, VIP guests can arrive discreetly. The venue can accommodate special arrival requirements and works with clients to ensure smooth guest logistics from mainland to island.

What accommodation options are available nearby?

Ravens Ait partners with nearby hotels including Warren House Hotel, Hampton Suites, and Crowne Plaza Surbiton for guest accommodation. The venue provides booking links and can assist with accommodation arrangements, though guests must arrange their own bookings.

Can external wine and decorations be brought to the venue?

Outside decorations, DJs, bands, and vendors are permitted. For wine, Ravens Ait typically doesn't allow outside drinks, but management can approve up to 10 bottles of external wine for special occasions with a £100 corkage fee (inclusive of VAT). All other beverages must be purchased through the venue.
